The Trains & The Planes

let’s get together and sit somewhere. we’ll watch the trains go by and the planes overhead. let’s crack a bottle and drink to all the mistakes we’ve made, and toast to the people that we wanted to be but never will become. feel the cold of the night it grows colder every year. come closer and feel the warmth of losing touch with all your fears. let’s go back inside and take off all our clothes and embrace our doubts and everything we used to know. to be young is to live like we’ll never die. well tonight, no one’s going to die. to be young is to live like you’ll never die. tonight, tonight, tonight.

Look Down, Look Around

looking down at the people all around, they look like ants, but they’re screaming. i can’t make a sound, my throat is closing up. my mouth is dry and all i do is sigh. my body’s tired, but my mind is racing faster than it should. my heart is pounding, muscles tensing and i don’t wanna be here tonight. it’s hard sometimes to get a grip on your life, but that’s fine, we survive.

you crept up on me like the wave of a deep sea. the way the salt burns my feet. how you live inside of me. in a room full of ears, nothing flows like the taste of beer. i hate these words from my mouth. the way they come out then fall to the ground.
